Delivers friendly, high-quality service to internal customers (HR Department, co-workers, employees and applicants).
Actively works with the department on process improvements.
Assists in interpreting company policies, benefits and processes to managers, employees and/or family members.
Responsible for processing benefit information in HRIS and maintaining documentation in an orderly manner.
Maintains and develops jobs descriptions for OVHD.
Assists in developing processes and writing or updating company policies.
Responsible for OVHD’s Leave of Absence processes.
Responsible for sending scheduled reminders to department managers on evaluations, licenses and certificates.
Assists with New Employee Orientation.
Assist in market analysis and performs statistical analysis as needed.
Assists with HR activities such as open enrollment, annual service awards.
Responds to general department mail; types letters, memos, forms and miscellaneous correspondence.
Assists in filing of all employee personnel documentation.
Assists with and follows-up on HR activities as needed.
Answers HR department telephones, initiates action for urgent messages.
High school graduate or equivalent required
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience preferred in personnel or HR field
Must be detail and customer service oriented, manage multiple tasks, be an effective team member and demonstrate core values.
Experience with an HRIS database, Microsoft applications, and high level of Excel preferred
Must have demonstrated ability to use proper English and punctuation.
Data entry of 55-60 wpm with accuracy
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
