Quality Improvement Coordinator (Oakdale) - Full Time
Location: Oakdale, CA
Prepares QRM/UR reports for meetings
Medical Staff and Nursing Reports – Generates reports within specified parameters. Verifies report outputs; initiating and validating data corrections. Modifies reporting parameters as requested by medical staff committees and/or management.
Ancillary and Ad Hoc Reports – Determines reporting parameters based on user needs and requests. Utilizes all available manually logged and computer systems to compile data and generates validation reports. Systematically prepares and presents data in a manner consistent with the goal of improvement of care.
Coordinates meeting schedules for Director. Sets up meetings with Medical Staff, Hospital Personnel and Department Staff.
Accurately enters coded Hospital Occurrence Reports (HOR) data into Access software system. Updates tables and corrects data as requested by the Director.
Performs clerical duties, including generation of standard letters and other correspondence.

Course in medical terminology
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Two years experience in Quality Improvement or related health care field
Experienced with MediTech software preferred
Minimum two years of health care related experience
Knowledge of JCAHO and Federal and State licensing requirements preferred
Working knowledge of the PI Principles and data analysis, and flow-charting
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database programs and Access/Crystal Database
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
Interpersonal skills essential for interface with other departments for projects and data collection
Able to sit for long periods of time
Reach, grasp, push and pull occasionally
Lifts, positions, pushes up to 25 pounds
Minimal reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Manual dexterity and mobility
Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform duties
