Dentist (Oakdale) - Full Time

Job Description

Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. May treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. May fit dental appliances or provide preventive care.
Contributes to team effort by remaining flexible and open-minded, maintaining cooperative working relationships, sharing resources and information, and assisting co-workers’ in time of need.  Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete assigned duties within a timely manner.  Takes the initiative to perform other tasks when assigned workload has been completed.

  1. Perform general dentistry services including exams, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures.
  1. Examine patients to determine the nature of the condition affecting the patient, utilizing digital radiographs, dental instruments and other diagnostic procedures.
  1. Clean, fill, extract and replace teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications and surgical implements.
  1. Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and Oak Valley Dental Clinic policies and procedures are properly followed.
  1. Maintain proper patient treatment records.
  1. Provide dental services of the quality required by our Quality Management Department.
  1. Ability to build good rapport with patients and staff.
  1. Provide excellent chair side communication to enhance the patient experience.
  1. Coordinate laboratory services for the dental office.
  1. Commitment to quality patient care and enjoy educating on Dental Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:
DDS or DMD degree
Valid dental license for The State of California
Physical Demands:
Prolonged sitting
Considerable standing/walking
Lifts, positions, pushes up to 50 pounds
Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Manual dexterity and mobility
Ability to move quickly
Vision Requirements:
