

Educational classes, support groups, and fitness programs are just some of the community benefit programs Oak Valley provides to encourage healthy lifestyles.
The most popular programs are regularly scheduled. The Family Support Network pursues and develops classes and support groups as new needs or ideas emerge to enhance the well-being of our populations.
For individuals diagnosed with diabetes and any loved ones who may want to attend. This is an opportunity to learn a positive approach to living with diabetes and to get answers to questions about diabetes. All classes are facilitated by a certified diabetes educator.
This is a set of 4 classes – 2 hours each, held weekly. Class size is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Attendance at class #1 is mandatory to attend rest of the series. The fee is $20.00 per person or $30.00 per family for the set of 4 classes. The Oak Valley Hospital Educator schedules CPR certification classes for healthcare providers twice a month. Classes are the first Wednesday and third Thursday using the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support program. Contact 209-848-5327 for more information and registration.

In response to the high prevalence of diabetes in the valley, the diabetes educator at Oak Valley Hospital conducts a series of classes designed to help those with diabetes and their family members to effectively deal with the disease.

Water Exercise Together (WET)Conducted by a trained physical occupational aide, this popular program is designed to improve physical strength for those suffering from arthritis, knee replacements, joint inflammation and related injuries. Open to all ages and abilities.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays in a local pool.
A “swim card” costs $40 for 11 hour long sessions.

Teaching 11 to 15 year olds safety precautions when babysitting infants and small children. Please call for dates.

Geared to drivers over 50, these two day courses are conducted every other month. A completion certificate can be used to obtain insurance discounts.
